Yes. Once the Academy is over we will make the links available to everyone.

What specific goals or outcomes does the team aim to achieve with the AI Academy?

Our main goal is to help ministry leaders and practitioners of any age or culture to learn more how AI might help them in ministry and serving Jesus. The specific goal is learning together to move everyone beyond where they are now to see and learn new possibilities.

Do I need to have a laptop?

No you can use a phone (or a tablet). If you have access to a laptop, it might help with some tasks. Most AI processing that we will talk about is done in the cloud and via web browsers, so internet is important. But the speed of the laptop is not so important.

What hardware do I need? Are there any expenses or costs involved?

We will be sharing lots of helpful information using free AI tools that you can access on a simple smartphone or a computer. So you can participate without spending any money. We will also be sharing ideas for tools that do cost money. Though it is entirely optional if you want to learn about these.

We will talk about some paid subscriptions that you can choose to use if you would like to and can afford them.

Will there be a specific cohort for my country / region?

We are operating as a global group, rather than via small groups.

How can AI be used to enhance ministry? Or how can it be implemented in children’s ministry?

We seek to explain different types of AI tools and then how they might be used, simply as another tool, to help with different tasks. “Ministry” itself, making disciples, following Jesus, is 100% a human-to-human and human-to-God relationship.

AI is simply a tool that helps with certain tasks. AI might enable you to do some things that free up time for humans to do more ministry. Or create resources and tools that might be used in a ministry setting. We see AI in this light and will explain more in the Academy.

The invention of the printing press 575 years ago was an incredible technological innovation of its time. It opened up the ability to share the Bible in many languages and spread education. It also opened the ability to spread evil and dangerous content.

AI has the potential to do great things and will also be used for great evil. The Academy is aiming to help us understand it better so that we wise, more alert and more understanding about how to use it well.
